Porsche Macan GTS Transfer Case Fluid Change

Now that we have added a 2017 Porsche Macan GTS to our immediate BreitWerks family, we have gotten very familiar with this little pocket rocket.  Between software upgrades that add gobs of horsepower and the strict Porsche maintenance requirements, these mid-size SUVs are very capable machines.  Not only can they haul the family around in comfort and style, but they are equally as capable when you want to smash the loud pedal and spend some time on twisty roads.

One of the challeneges of these vehicles (and most of the modern Porsche vehicles) is the very strict maintenance requirements.  Whether it is PDK fluid changes, spark plug changes, brake fluid changes, etc, Porsche is very specific in how to maintain these vehicles.  One of the areas of concern is the Transfer Case.  This is similar to the issues that Porsche experienced with the second generation of Cayenne.  Fortunately, now that we know better, we should not need to exercise that extended warranty Porsche issued for the Transfer Case.  Check out this video for a quick explanation of how to perform this important fluid swap in your Macan.
