We are having a blast with this 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera engine upgrade we are doing here at BreitWerks. This is our first opportunity to see firsthand what a modern engine management system like the MoTec M84 is capable of doing. This 3.2L Carrera engine has received all of the upgrades we decided on to help us achieve the owner's goal of 300hp. We increased the displacement, we went with custom cylinder head work as well as custom camshafts and pistons too! Twin plug, coil on plug and individual throttle bodies add to the mix. We added finned oil lines to help with expelling the extra heat from the increase in horsepower. A completely custom exhaust will ensure the neighbors don't complain but there will be no doubt that at full song, this is a race capable motor built for the street. Gone are any remnants of the original Motronic system from Bosch. The M84 from MoTec will handle all the responsibility to make sure we have big, safe power from this badass Mezger motor. We are having a lot of fun integrating all of this modern capablity into a 35 year old iconic vehicle!
