BreitWerks has been caring for this beautiful, 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo Slantnose for many years. She had some beautiful RUF components added by Exclusive Motorcars back in the 1980's. Lately she had been leaving quite the smoke and oil trail so the owner wanted to see what we could do. Since the car had so many RUF components, we worked with the owner to come up with a plan to do a 3.4L BTR tribute that we will be calling the BTR-BW. Our plan is to take advantage of many of the technological developments over the last 30 years but to keep the character that the original BTR motors were known for (high revving screamer). Modern pistons will allow us to forego the dreaded "cold engine piston slap" that was one of the very few downsides to the BTR build. The Gruppe B camshaft profiles, coupled with a turbocharger with all the modern toys will make this "Beast" live up to her name. Follow along on our YouTube channel to see this project progress.
